Fundraising for Life Education Trust Southland has earned McCallums Group Apparelmaster the Local Legends Trophy at the Annual Apparelmaster New Zealand Group Conference.

The Group lead the way nationally, selling raffles, chocolates and scratchie boards to raise $6500 for the Trust, which will stay within Southland.

McCallums Group’s Apparelmaster Customer Service Manager Jaime McNaught said staff had put in a huge fundraising effort throughout April – and it was for a great cause.

“We’re a locally owned and operated business, and it’s great to be able to support a local charity. We were definitely motivated by the fact that money raised would stay in Southland, and there was great support from a huge number of staff,” she said.

The Trustees of Life Education Trust Southland said they appreciated the support and the donation would go towards a replacement car for its educator; enabling the Trust to continue to provide its much-needed health-based education to Southland children.
