National Conference Offers Fresh Ideas
Three national awards, fresh ideas and a touch of Hollywood highlighted the Annual Apparelmaster New Zealand Group Conference for McCallums Group.
The national conference, held this year at Millbrook Resort in Arrowtown, offers networking opportunities for Apparelmaster New Zealand agents, along with the chance to learn about new products, and also includes an awards evening to recognise those who have achieved exceptional results.
This year’s movie-themed dinner and awards evening proved a highlight for McCallums Group; with three national InStep Sustainability Awards recognising the company’s ongoing commitment to minimising its impact on the environment.
The awards included:
- Largest Reduction in Total CO2 Emissions (Large Facility Category)
- Lowest Standardised CO2 Emissions (Apparelmaster Group)
- Lowest CO2 Emissions (Large Facility Category)
It was apt recognition for the Invercargill-based company, which has made several major moves to reduce its carbon footprint.
The conference also provided a number of key learning opportunities for McCallums Group staff and included a keynote address from Peter Scallan of Celtic Linen; one of the leading service providers in Ireland.
McCallums Group Apparelmaster Customer Service Manager Jaime McNaught said the conference was a fantastic annual chance for local businesses to network nationally.
“There are so many exciting products and innovative ways of operating and it’s so important that, as Apparelmaster New Zealand agents, we are sharing these for the benefit of our local clients,” she said.
