Meet McCallums Group's New Production Supervisor

A move to Southland from Auckland and a step into the dry cleaning industry has signalled big changes for McCallums Group’s new Production Supervisor Cam Turoa.

But one thing is for sure – he has high standards and, with a good solid work ethic, he’ll be making sure only the best product heads out the door.

Cam’s role is a broad one and covers everything from employing and motivating staff to ensuring there are woodchips to create steam through to managing the work flow in the washroom.

As a customer, you probably won’t see much of Cam; however you can be sure your product is in the best possible hands.

“It’s about maintaining high standards, and always making sure the best product is going out the door – clean and simple,” he says.

The father-of-three moved south with his wife, after more than 10 years in the manufacturing industry in Auckland. He says they moved for the lifestyle, and so far he’s loving it – at work and at home.

“The kids love it, they’ve made a heap of new friends, and I’m enjoying the work,” he says.

“It’s always busy, I love the fast pace, there’s always something to do and everyone’s friendly and hard working so it’s easy to get on with people.”
